Patterns

As a school project, I was assigned to create a pattern. It could be any theme I wanted but I had to decide what the pattern would be put on. Through brainstorming different ideas, I decided on creating a duck pattern. My goal was to design the pattern for a shower curtain. I started this project by sketching out different elements that could be included in the pattern. I then took what I liked and and came up with my final composition. I used tracing paper to create a seamless pattern. I then scanned my hand drawn pattern and traced it in Adobe Illustrator. I made the digital version into a pattern in Adobe Illustrator. From there, I sent the pattern to be printed on a small piece of fabric to get an idea of the outcome.
