T-Shirts
I designed the “old fashioned” graphic for The Lauber, a restaurant in downtown South Bend, IN. The Lauber is known for their old fashioneds and wanted a t-shirt to represent it. I photographed one of their old fashioneds as a reference and made a digital cartoon graphic of it using Adobe Illustrator. I designed it using three spot colors to ensure cheaper printing costs. The Lauber used my old fashioned graphic along with their text choice and ordered t-shirts for the staff and to sell to customers.

Fall 2021
This project was assigned at school. The goal was to create a t-shirt design of our choice. The challenge was to only do this using three spot colors. I started by sketching out multiple compositions, then I chose the best design based on peer and professor review. I digitalized my design using Adobe Illustrator, then chose my three colors. I made custom swatches of these colors and assigned them to be recognized as spot colors.
I then applied the colors to my art and used tints of the three spot colors to make my design appear more complex. The last step in the process was making color separations of the file and exporting them for print. This assignment taught me how to create spot colors and color separations which is useful in designing for print and keeping printing costs low.
